I'm heading to Marco Island next month and was curious if anyone has used the beach chair rental service.
I called the resort to ask about the prices but they gave me a phone number to call to ask but they never answer the phone.
Has anyone used the beach chair service behind the resort lately and do you have the prices?
Thanks.

yes. used them in the fall. they're there all the time. it's a beach shack at end of walkway to beach. I think maybe $20 umbrella/$10 chairs? could be $40? you can also bring your own.

Thanks.
I posted in the HGVC facebook group and they said about the same.
Yeah I can bring my own but I'm disabled so it's hard for me to use my walker and carry things so I'd prefer to rent the chairs if possible.

They did tell me in the group that they only accept cash or checks so that's why I wanted an idea of how much it is.
I don't usually bring cash to the beach with me.
I only got a 3 day reservation so really we only have 2 days on the beach so I'm sure it's not that much but they said it was cheaper by the week.

Their website says call for rates but then they don't answer the phone.
I guess they don't need to answer the phone cause they must be busy enough.

Oh well, whatever.
Thanks for the info. :hug

Just an update.
We are here this week and it’s $39 for 2 chairs and an umbrella.

This should be the thread about prices, because it would really irk me to spend that much. I need to go to therapy

I'm at the Marriott property and the stand here has a weekly rate of $145 for an umbrella and 2 chairs.

I assume this is the Marriott hotel next to Eagle's Nest and not Marriott Crystal Shores?

Sorry, I'm at Crystal Shores. Here's the post card they gave us at check in.

This is for one day not for the week.

That's a great rate for a week! At Ocean Pointe, it's $60 a day for umbrella and 2 chairs!! If you buy 4 days, they give you a discount of about $50 a day. Don't remember the exact amount but I ended up paying $400 for 10 uses with the understanding that I can use more than 1 use in a day since there was 15 of us.

That’s why I like Oceana palms.
The chairs are free. Go figure. 😎

As a side note if you stay at Wyndham Royal Vista or any of the Wyndhams in Pompano and do the timeshare tour they will offer you vouchers for the beach cabana chairs for 2 people for the week if you listen to the spiel. I also get the $100 gift card. Not too bad for 1 hour of low pressure sales pitch. They don’t even give me a regular sales person anymore. I usually end up with a manager who just gives me my gifts and I think they are glad to be rid of me. 😂

WOW those prices are insane. $20 for umbrellas and $10 for chairs.

Why is it that they are not free, is it because is a 3rd party private company renting them and not Hilton?

I'm currently in Corfu, Greece and I found their prices a bit steep, €12 for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella. Guess I should be pleased 🙈

It’s actually $39 for two chairs.
Not sure if they do just one chair.
Maybe so but yes they are an independent contractor.
I guess the resort doesn’t want to deal with it.

How much does therapy cost? ;)

After watching Dioxides video on Ocean Pointe those chairs are $60 for two with umbrella or $45 if you do it for the week and that video is a year or two old. 😳

Well these are playgrounds for the rich so not surprised by the prices.

We were at Crystal Shores in May…I thought that $145 for 2 or 3 Beach loungers and a large umbrella was reasonable…our spot was always ready for us whether we went down to the beach at 10am or 2pm.
