Question: What is Wyndham doing with the Dolphin Cove? I have been booking the Dolphin Cove over Labor Day for the past 8 years to go run the Disneyland Half. Every year it seems that there is less availability even when I start searching 13 months out. They are alway pushing the Wyndham Anaheim Resort, calling it there flagship or something like that that I need to book there. Is Wyndham getting rid of the Cove?

Fairfield(Wyndham) acquired this resort from another developer circa Y2K.

It has mixed ownership roughly 1/3 WorldMark, 1/3 original fixed weeks owners who got good weeks and 1/3 Wyndham converted fixed week points.

There has been much confusion on correct spelling of resort name.

Big selling point was Disney owns adjacent property and you could leap out window and land on. Unfortunately Disney changed mind about developing.

No way is it flag ship like BC!

See page 26 of new Directory for more info.

Huge MF increases and SA have resulted in lots of owner abandonments.

Dolphin's Cove was always a shared Wyndham/Worldmark Apartment conversion

As part of the settlement of a lawsuit by some Worldmark Owners, Club Wyndham Access was award a significant number of rooms at the Anaheim resort. Wyndham runs a large sales operation close to the Tragic Kingdom. IMHO its just a matter of time when they are selling both brands CWA and WM out of the sales floor

I know on the Worldmark side there are people who like DC (Primarily since it can cost 60% of more in credit for Anaheim Fortunately I live too close to have to make a choice.

IMHO Anaheim is what most WVO/CWA expect of a resort, IMHO Dolphin's Cove doesn't meet even Worldmark Standards

I just want to say that I like Dolphin's Cove. I've traded in twice, and it's comfortable and close to Disneyland. In fact you can walk a long block and catch the Disney Parking Lot bus for free. It is NOT a destination resort, but it convenient for a Disney trip.
