Doggy Treadmill

We can't walk Brianna in the summer. The pavement is too hot. Last year we got up real early and took her to a dog park, which opens at 7 AM., but she isn't that interested in exercising there once her business is done.

Has anybody used a doggy treadmill? I see them advertised, and I wonder if it might be a solution for us (Jerry can't walk Bri any more, a neighbor has been doing this). If you do use one, what is the type of dog and energy level you have? If you tried and the dog didn't like it, tell me that, too.

Have you looked into foot protection instead of a tread mill? Probably a lot less expensive than a treadmill - at least as a trial.

Of course I have. She won't wear the ones I've tried, and her legs are too short for them.
