Do any of the timeshare resorts allow a non-owner to bring a small dog? We just got back from the Hyatt High Sierra and want to return this summer to hike.

Hopefully none of them allow an OWNER to bring fleas to a Unit

I have heard a rumor that FSA - In Carlsbad Makes and exception for owners, But they are paying 2,800 in annual Maintenance Fees

Not worth the drive, I will acknowledge that I made a mistake, somehow remembering 1,800 and typing 2800.

The pet issue is a hot topic over at WMOWNERS.COM and I forgot which board I was on.

The is segment of the owners that throw a vest on their lap dog and call it a service animal, The employees of Wyndham Corp are not empowered to challenge any documentation.

I can remember paying boarding for my dog while watching the people i the unit below me letting their "service RAT DOG" $%#^ all over the grounds. Just wish that Bear had strolled through a little earlier.

That is really, really mean.
No matter what the owners do the dog should not be punished. If your attitude is like that then I worry about your dog.

To the OP: I spent a Summer in Tahoe. If you can't find a timeshare there that allows dogs surely you can find another vacation home to rent that allows dogs. There are tons of them all over the area and Summer is cheaper. Try http://www.vrbo.com/ and filter by "pet friendly."

Until they start spraying people when they arrive, I think there is no way to prevent the people from bringing in fleas. Or lice. Or tapeworms.

Or bedbugs.
