Does Sheraton Vistana (Fountains) get ACs when deposit with II?

I am still thinking on whether I am going to deposit my Sheraton with II. I now narrowed it down to using it to go to Aruba/Royal Mayan again in 2010. So I plan on depositing my floating 2br, Jan. of next year in hopes on obtaining the Marriott Ocean/Surf Club or Royal Mayan in 2010 summer. However, I was hoping that I would also get an AC to use also as my friend gets ACs with her Marriott. Does anyone know if I will get one with my Vistana?

I don't think anything that is in the SVN system gets ACs per arrangements between II and Starwood. Someone correct me if this is wrong. Katherine

Kath - you are right. Bulk deposits do not qualify for AC's. If you can deposit it directly yourself, then you might.

I've never received any AC's for depositing my SVN properties with II. Instead, I've had great success obtaining a second unit via a "Two-for-One Exchange Special - XYZ" via II. Basically, under this deal, if you pay a second exchange fee, II let's you book a second unit (if available) at the same resort during or around the same time as your primary exchange.

Here is what I do to get this deal:

1) Search II's available inventory on-line until I find someplace where I want to go that currently shows tons of availability.

2) CALL II directly and speak with an II rep to book the primary exchange. This deal is not available on-line.

3) Before II pulls the trigger on the first exchange, ask if it's possible to get a "Two-For-One Exchange Special" at the resort about to be booked. Tell them you have a friend (aka me) who got one, and you'd like one too.

If you are exchanging a 2 bedroom for a large 1 bedroom, or a large one bedroom for a studio, pointing this out to the II rep may also spark the two-for-one exchange offer.

4) If the agent says yes to the deal, pull the trigger on the primary exchange, and have that same rep book the second unit AT THAT TIME TOO. (Who knows what a different II rep will say should you try to get the deal after the fact). You can add guest certificates, etc. on-line after booking, so don't fiddle with guest certs now.

I've only done this deal trading my SVO units (SDO & WKV) for other SVO properties (WMH and WKORV). I don't know if II will do it for non-SVO properties.

Good Luck,

-nodge

sorry to ask a silly question but what does ac stand for?
Accommodation Certificate
II gives them or offers them to get you to deposit a high demand week....my one sore point of Starwood ownership.

You can get a second week of vacation (with certain restrictions) for $199, $249, $299 - studio 1BR 2BR...or even less.
