Curious if you can purchase a 2-bed and book a lock off unit for exchange there.

It doesn't look like it;

Playa Andalusia has 3 bedroom lock off. Locks off into 2 bedroom and a studio.
I think it locks off into a 2 BR and hotel room. I wonder if II treats the hotel unit any differently than a studio for exchange purposes.

Got it. Only 3-bd lock off option in Europe.

My studio is not listed as a hotel room on interval as it’s listed like my MGC studio and sees the same thing. I have not done an OGS with it just instant exchanges.

No, we own at all the Spanish MVC resorts and Playa Andaluza is the only one where you can lock off units.

In the directory they list it as a 2/2 hotel room but if trying to exchange in they list it as a 2/2 efficiency. Other than only searching for 2 people I didn't expect it made any difference, especially now with the unit upgrade option for a fee.

Never noticed that. Maybe trade power might be less than the MGC studio then will have to try an OGS with it .

Since it's basically a sleep 2 studio I doubt it makes any difference or enough to matter. The other factors are likely more of an issue. I know that at least one of the independent exchange companies downgrades Orlando studios pretty dramatically because Orlando is more of a family destination but I don't know if II makes any distinctions between unit size that is different for one location over another. My guess is they don't esp given that the TDI is area specific but not resort specific. The other resort that I had in my mind that has hotel rooms for the L/O was Royal Sands and interestingly they list those as 2/2 efficiencies even though they have no kitchen facilities at all.
