Does anyone have a map of the Royal Sands?

I just found out that I am in Unit G5719S (1 bedroom). I have learned recently from reading various peoples posts that the room location that I have is not guaranteed. I am going to call and try to speak to someone the week before I go and plead for a great room. I am going on my anniversary and promised my wife a ocean view room. I hope I don't eat my words!

There are also maps on Mexicondo.com. As I recall they are bigger and easier to read than the ones on royalresorts.com.

Don't worry about getting switched - there are no bad locations, all villas have an ocean view due to the "horseshoe" design of the resort.

All units can see the ocean. We go the 7th floor beachfront when we stayed and it was the best location/view we ever had.

Our II Getaway confirmation list C5508, which I assume is the 5th floor- right? Are they generally assigning the rooms listed in the confirmations and/or will callong in advance help in room assignment? We're taking my folks there in a few weeks for their 60th Anniversary. We haven't been to Cancun before so we're really looking forwards to it.

Fifth floor, nice pool and ocean view, close to the pool and half-way from the lobby to the ocean. Usually you will get the location on the confirmation, because the resort has very few locations in its control - individual owners own and control specific locations, so only those that were deposited with Interval etc are potentially available for assignment by the resort.

Calling in advance will probably have no effect and I wouldn't bother unless it was a fantastic location like ground floor oceanfront and you wanted to plead that they hold it for you.

Even if you get a different unit, don't worry - there are no bad locations at the Sands!
