Does Abound apply to 3rd Party Vistana purchases occurring after the program began?

I have purchased a good number of Vistana timeshares via 3rd party sales over the past 10 years (after buying 3 from Westin/Sheraton). I plan to buy a few more and want to make sure they are ones that will have the Abound Club Points applied to the new ownership. However, I was told today, any new 3rd party Vistana purchases happening after Sept 30th, 2022 no longer will be eligible to transfer into the Abound program. I plan to buy from the Mandatory resorts. Does anyone know if that is correct? I was told this info from a person not tied to Vistana or Marriott. Thus, I want to verify whether it is accurate. Thanks.

The cutoff date is Aug 9 2022. All resale mandatory Vistana weeks bought after this date will continue to participate in VSN but are not Abound eligible.
