Yes I do, because I was born there. However, after landing at SJC last night after visiting Mexico, I was approached by a middle aged couple from Frankfurt Germany.
They asked for my help. I can't remember their initial question, but it turns out their travel agent had booked a trip for them. Accommodations were in San Jose, COSTA RICA, but their flight took them to San Jose CALIFORNIA!

It was 10 pm. I was deciding between an Uber trip home vs. Overnighting at a nearby DoubleTree that has a shuttle. I booked 2 rooms on Price line for a bargain rate of $100/room. They reimbursed me cash. I had hoped to see them this morning, but they had already checked out. They left a note of thanks for me at front desk.

I'll be curious how they resolved their dilemma.

That was very nice of you to help them out. It sounds like they had a lack of communication with their travel agent and then didn’t read their itinerary very closely.

Back in the day when I worked in San Jose our payroll checks were sent to San Jose Costa Rica, so I can relate on a lesser level of anxiety to their situation.

I remember when my husband was to interview a candidate for a job in Charleston, SC. The candidate flew to Charleston, West Virginia. He didn't get the job.

That is a crazy situation!! You were so nice to help them.

Whenever I am booking a trip to Cabo, I have noticed both San Jose, Costa Rica and San Jose del Cabo are close together in the pull down list and I always make myself double check before I book because it would be easy to accidentally grab the wrong city. That was a big mistake for their travel agent to make. Luckily for them, there should be a flight to Costa Rica.
