I've found a quilt show in Daytona that I'd like to stop at on our way south. Our favorite is the Titiusville Courtyard but I'm looking for more options between HHI and our resort in Palm Beach Shores. I'm looking for a B & B, motel, hotel, resort....anything clean and affordable near Daytona. I've looked at the chains but what I'd like to find is the more affordable property that is very clean.

If you have a Hilton Honors account, HVC The Cove on Ormond Beach has suites less than $170/night (no idea if you must do a timeshare sales presentation), or next up is the Hampton Inn Daytona Speedway for $209. For a bit less, the Holiday Inn LPGA & I-95 is $132/night.

Are you just looking for a one night stop, or something longer?

I found a B & B. Owner gave me a very good rate and allowed 1 night.

Would still like to hear of possibilities for future trips as we make this drive annually.

I have been all over Hilton.com and can't find those prices. Maybe it's the dates. 2/22, high demand. The Cove is $471 for a 2 bedroom (as opposed to getting 2 rooms at another property). I considered applying for the cc in order to get the $100 off and 65000 points. Residence Inn had a 2 bedroom for $363. Hampton Inn Speedway is $274 with taxes.

I called a B & B that didn't have availability online but it was so quaint that I wanted to ask if she knew of another similar property. She said online has 2 night minimum. Gave me a great rate for 2 rooms.

I highly suggest any HILTON credit cards, great bonuses, and they (and other AmEx cards like the Delta SkyMiles Platinum)have a plan where you can spread out payments for almost 50% of the interest! Instead of, say, 29% APR over 12 months you could pay the equivalent of 15% Simple Interest if the charge is over $100. And yeah, I used a low-demand time for the price quotes. The Daytona500 is February 16th, then the following week is Bike Week, which is why the 22nd is so high.
