Has anyone heard of Divine Vacations Inc out of Palm Springs, Fl? They keep calling me to tell me they have a buyer but of course want upfront $. TAhey have a BBB rating of B- and I can find no complaints on rip off report, trust link, or the complaints board.

The upfront fee companies make money by charging you that fee - they have no intention of selling/renting your timeshare. Once they have your money, what's their motivation for doing anything more? Don't do it!

What if some guy offered to rake your yard if you gave him $20 to go buy a rake?
Would you do it? Would he come back with a rake? ... Yeah, right.

I knew an attorney who gave a guy $20 to wash his car.
That was 10 years ago. He's still waiting for that car wash.
Not a very good attorney, huh?

This is a scam. As soon as they have your money the buyer will change their mind. They will refuse to refund your money because they will claim they performed services (such as a title search) which you agreed to pay for.

Upcoming vacation (...although maybe not "divine") for convicted scammers...

The woman (Doris A. Heliin) who reportedly created and ran scammer entity "Divine Vacations" will apparently be sentenced in mid-September, having now been formally convicted (entered "guilty" plea, just to be clear).

I hope that the sentencing provides her with a "Divine Vacation" of her own --- in the form of an extended stay in a "Graybar Hotel".
