Different prices on amazon

so today both my sister(not prime) and myself(prime) went on the Amazon website to look at a HOOVER TWIN TANK STEAM MOP.. she got a quote of $69.95 and i got a quote of $82.85 . even with my PRIME(supposed to be FREE SHIPPING AND 2 DAY DELIVERY) her price after shipping and taxes was still less money then mine. So apparently the FREE shipping with PRIME is not FREE.shipping charges are just built into the price.. has anyone else experienced this price difference? anyone have the customer service phone number? i would like to call and find out why this is.

You just discovered that Amazon Prime is not always the cheapest way to buy. You have to shop. Usually, Amazon has both options on the same page when you shop for an item, along with the disclaimer, something like "This item may be available from other sellers at lower cost and is not eligible for Amazon Prime Shipping".

Caveat Emptor. Buyer beware.

Yes. This has happen to me a number of times. I never select prime only when looking for items.
 
I agree with others after researching this more on Amazon. It is the seller. The OP is looking at the price through Amazon as the seller ($82.68). If you click on the link "88 new from $67.00". You get many other options not sold by Amazon but for a lower cost, even with shipping added.
 
Amazon is actually made up of MANY smaller sellers who all set their own prices. The "Buy Box" is not the only option, and many may be less expensive. If I have 3 of an item that I have priced at $5 plus $3.95 shipping and another seller's item is priced at $9.00 with free shipping, mine will show as the cheapest price. ONLY if you go past the "preferred sellers" who are folks who buy a subscription to be placed higher in the list.

ALWAYS click on the "offers from THESE SELLERS" to get ALL of the offers. Many of us strive to be the least expensive. But once my 1 or 2 items sell out, I don't replenish and someone else will get that "least expensive" slot.
