Did Wyndham Buy all Shawnee Resorts?

A friend recently won a Shawnee week (Pennsylvania) on eBay, thinking it was a Wyndham resort. While there are many, many Shawnee resorts, I thought Wyndham only owns/controls/manages just one specific Shawnee resort, not all of them.

Does anyone know the Shawnee situation? Thanks.

Wyndham bought Shawnee Properties (I think that is the name) and they are building new units in undeveloped areas. They did not buy the existing villages. Each of the vallages have its own homeowner association and each association will vote if they would like to participate in wyndham. the latest newsletter for river village ii said the board has voted to join and the detail on the arrgement is expected in the next month or two. some of the wyndham salepeople will claim they own shawnee, including all the villages which is not true. wyndham has been under contract with our village for the management only (checkin, billing...)

All of Shawnee is managed by Wyndham (in terms of facilities). Ridge Top is in that group but is not a part of the Wyndham points program. Interestingly enough, the new directory just out yesterday says that you can use points for two parts of Shawnee - I believe it included River Village II and Shawnee Village, but Ridge Top was not on the list. I would guess that some in the older sections may have agreed to turn their units into points (maybe with another additional points purchase required) or Wyndham has gotten their hands on some inventory and made it part of the points program which they will sell. This was only possible, as the previous poster said, if the entire POA for the section agreed to participate.
