Dev Price Negations ???

What flexibility in pricing have you found when wokring with the developer? Has anyone negiotiated down the initail asking price?

They won't negotiate price - they will sometimes add perks.

As DM sez - they will not negotiate. If they did - I would have probably brought that fixed week/villa at WPORV (I tried) - but you can get added perks like additional Starpoint incentives - especially if you play tough with them (turn the negotiation around on them - where you are doing them a favor to even consider buying, and not visa-versa).
 
Starwood will not budge on price.

Sometimes you can get Starwood to give you a few more Starpoints for purchasing or a couple more options to purchase 80K Starpoints at a reduced rate for $1,550.

And, IMO, no developer purchase should even be considered without including a retro of a high StarOption value week previously purchased on the resale market. ... eom
