New owner here. I've looked through the Owner Resources at the HVC website but most all of the information is very high level. Is there an Owners guide that contains all the detailed information on how the program works? Like a "terms & conditions" guide that explains the details of the program....

I have 2200 CUP points and I have about 3 months to use them before LCUP kicks in. Some questions I have regarding booking future reservations with these points:

1. If i book a unit with my points now to stay in January 2026, but then i have to cancel in the next 3 months (before my LCUP period), do I get my points back? If so, what is the cancellation fee and what restrictions are placed on the returned points?

2. Same question as #1 but in this example lets say i have to cancel 1 month before the reservation date of Jan 2026? What happens to the points, what is the fee, what are the implications?

I'm kind of nerdy and like to read the details of these programs, I know the World of Hyatt program very well from years of use but also from reading through the terms & conditions that are published on their website. I'd like to do the same for HVC deeded ownership if any t's & c's exist.....

1. $51 online cancellation fee. Yes you get your points back. I believe they remain CUP points.
2. If LCUP period expires in October 2025 and you cancel the reservation in December 2025 I believe you lose the points. I wouldn’t pay a fee to cancel…but it would be $51 online.

The old website used to contain the rules. I have been unable to locate them on the new website. I have to think this is intentional. I would double check my information provided above. I used to always go to the rules to double check when I could see them online.

My points go to LCUP in late June and late July. I always transfer to EEE in late February and late March on my weeks if I have points remaining. For my internal Hyatt reservations for the next year I will wait until late June when my new HRPP starts. Make sense?

One of these days I will call and ask for the rule book!

To follow up on DAman post, you can find fees after logging into the owner's website (https://thelounge.hyattvacationclub.com/). Select Owner Resources menu, then select Fee chart.

Attached are the rules DAman referenced (this is an old 2018 document I grabbed from the files on Wendy's Hyatt Residence Facebook group).

Page 20, item 4.4 is clear about your scenario #1. Since you are canceling while still in CUP, your points come back unrestricted. Scenario #2 is more interesting, as with your LCUP period ending around Oct, I would also guess that any cancelation after that would lead to a loss of points (though not 100% certain).

Thanks. Now we have to make sure they haven’t changed these rules….like the II points chart.
