Destination Xchange vs RCI

I'm considering joining Destination Xchange. I currently have access (free) to RCI Points via my HGVC Bay Club. I see I can join DeX for $89 per year and that the exchange fees and deposit terms are better than RCI. In your experience, what are the pros/cons of Dex vs RCI.

What do you have that you can deposit in DeX? Nothing I have can be deposited there. Much of their inventory comes through RCI. You will mostly have to do 1:1 trades with them versus how HGVC works where you trade in points through the RCI portal.

If you want to trade into something Diamond/HVC with a lower exchange fee and not having to pay resort fees, it could work out for you.

I have Dex through both the Kaanapali Beach club and through Craigs lodge. Not a big user of it yet but have been looking.

Dex seems to have more dates available for HGV locations than I see in RCI. If you are looking to buy extra vacations in Dex they seem to be a higher price this year than last. RCI extra stays might be better.
