Wanted to test the waters with deposit first into II, depositing a low season 1 bedroom and low season 2 bedroom? What are the steps, including suggestions/hints? How long does it take? # of WM Credit costs?

Remember each unit deposited will require HK too.

Deposit First with WorldMark is a bit of a crap shoot. Often the unit WM deposits into II has weak to very weak trading power. The result is a challenge in getting a decent trade for the deposit. Also it is correct that the trading power of WM in II seems to have declined in recent years, although the trading power of a WM 3 bedroom float (used for a Request First trade in II) power is still pretty darn good. To get good use from a II Deposit First unit you often have to work fairly hard to find something you want. I use Deposit First only to extend the use of expiring WM credits. There is a wealth of information on all things WM at the website wmowners.com. It is very similar to TUG with very nice people and an incredibly knowledgable core of contributors who are just trying to help others with the WM system. Among the the WM owners' forums is one entitled "Vacation Exchange Information" , and within that forum there are two sticky threads (pinned at the top of that forum ) entitled "Deposit First involves much greater risk" and another called "II Deposits First and their trade power". These two threads will answer most of your questions. And if they do not answer them, you can post a question and get accurate, comprehensive responses from the WM owners at that site. In my view, both TUG and WM Owners represent the potential of the internet at its best. The thread on trade power for II deposits is particularly helpful because you can see exactly what the person received as a deposit into II. From my own experience, I prefer to use 6,000 credits for a low season deposit rather than 5,000 for a one bedroom deposit. Thre trade power of the two bedroom is a bit better than a one bedroom (although still not great) and you avoid the upgrade fee in II for a two bedroom trade. Very very rarely, you will hit the lottery and WM will give you a great deposit but, at least from my experience, those days seem to be in the past. That is why I now only use Deposit First for expiring credits.

I have a NHK account
Guest certificate too.

My experience using Worldmark for II was good. I made the reservations with credits and exchange fee online because I found what I wanted. I've done this a few times.

I haven't tried depositing a reserved week in low season so it will be interesting to see your results.

Does putting a low season week in WM limit what you can pull in II? Like can only get another low season? I saw someone on FB states they deposit on average 10k credits and gets great properties all the time. But it seems like the Marriotts would be slim pickings once they made their way out of the preferred booking period

You don't want to do that. Use WM in WM and don't use II.

Buy a Marriott platinum week to get Marriott through exchange. Where did you want to go in a Marriott resort?

I have no interest in anything right now but was just reading Facebook where somebody is making WM deposits in II out to be a great thing.

When you do the search you can use a three bed Worldmark unit to search with. In the search you can choose a resort system and search the resorts. If you choose Marriott and continue it will show one Marriott Resort but you can click that box to see them all. I think anything you find within a 60 day window can be had for 4,000 WM credits + exchange fee.

Flex change is now down to 30 days before check in, not 60 days.
