Hello. Does anyone have any experience with Deedbacks? I am in the process of executing two Deedbacks back to Marriott (Vistana).

It's really confusing. I just got off the phone w/Owner Services to pay my 2025 maintenance fees. I have to now make my 2025 reservations within 30 days. I have been told I cannot book them online - I have to book over the phone.

Kind of bummed b/c I wanted to use my Star Options for fall 2025 outside my home resort but was told I cannot do so b/c I won't be within the 8 month reservation date b/c the Deedback will occur within the next 30 days.

Anyways - I was on the phone with the Owner Services department for a long time trying to sort this out and I hung up and realized I have another question: If I make a reservation will I be able to add a guest name to it at a later time (even though I won't have access to the online reservation system)?

I'm kind of in a bind b/c I'm needing to book something for the first half of 2025 and really cannot personally use it. I'm thinking of booking something and then dealing with giving someone a trip....

Not enough info. When is deedback to become effective? If its to transfer in 2025 you will have no access to 2025 staroptions and they expect maintenance to be current at time of transfer. They will refund the maintenance you paid for their first year of use. What date did they accept the deedback, this year sometime?

you may still have me blocked, but... I decided to give away my 2 weeks at WSJ-VGV to a Tugger vs. a deed back to MVC because I didn't want to pay the MFs and wait a year.

I've tried to give this away and no takers. So this is my plan B. I'm ok with it as I paid essentially nothing for these two deeds to begin with and have enjoyed my time with them.

Dealing w/Owner Services now , however, has not been easy to book 2025 usage. It's ok -- I'm close to figuring something out.

Update:

I paid my maintenance fees for 2025 for these two deedbacks. Spent an hour on the phone with Marriott / Vistana getting transferred to 4 different people before they connected me with someone who could make reservations for me in 2025. Once the deedback process begins, you cannot do any of this yourself online.

I did ask "Can I change the name on these reservations if someone else wants to use them". A long pause. Then the response was : cannot do it online or through the "form". I have to call the resort close to check in and ask them to put a new name on the reservation. I honestly don't feel very confident with that answer. Time will tell.

Just got the paperwork to have notarized to deedback a 1BR EOYE Vistana Villages gold plus week.
