Deedback Spain weeks

has anyone deeded back a Spain week? They said we have to go through cork and not the regular resale department. Is it the same process? Anything different

There is no actual deed on Spain weeks. I recall that simply not paying your fees for a certain number of years causes the ownership to automatically revert to MVC. That said, defaulting could impact the use of other weeks you own as well as use of your Marriott Bonvoy account.

It's worth talking to someone in Cork and asking... They sometimes call/text me asking if I want to buy more weeks (and maybe enroll resale weeks) so they do need the inventory for those offers.

Is you week enrolled in Abound? Some of those weeks can be just a points generator. Our Spain week is relatively very cost effective after the US MF disaster. It's a Gold week but it's enrolled in Abound and the MFs are around $0.43/pt (maybe a bit worse now that the dollar crashed ~5% in the past week), which is about as good as a Newport Coast Platinum Plus week 52 (NCV plain Platinum is at $0.57/pt). It's not a week I'd want to get rid of even if we rarely use it as a week.

Although Spain weeks are Right To Use (RTU), not “Deeded”, several owners have reported in the separate Spain MVC Owner fb groups that they have successfully exited their ownership by working with Cork Owner Services who have been helpful with the process.
