I inquired about a deed surrender to Vacation Village Resort (Cliffs at Peace Canyon) about six months ago to the email above. They did respond, but they require proof of hardship, be it medical (letter from doctor)/financial (proof of income). If the Owner’s Association accepts your response, there is a $1500 Settlement Fee, plus an amount agreed upon by the Association to help balance the budget. Who knows if that amount is $500 or $5000 dollars???
I decided to list (give away) my timeshare here on the BBS and also list it on TUG Marketplace and pay the closing costs. I’d rather give it to someone who will enjoy it rather than pay the Resort to take it back. It worked out perfectly. The people on this BBS are so helpful if you have any questions. After a couple of months, someone was interested in my timeshare. I went through LT Transfers (highly recommended) for closing, paid approx $500 for closing, and it was done. Good Luck.
