This is just a mention that it pays to look around my-vacationclub.com every so often to see what's new.

We had banked DC Points that were set to expire 12/31, a double whammy of restricted usage AND limited time frame. One thing that looked interesting was the Tanger Outlet at Hilton Head shopping package - 325 Points for $100 shopping credit. I'm sure it's not the best bang for the buck but we've already gotten more than enough usage out of the Week-converted-to-Points so it works for us (especially as we're in the beginning stages of outfitting our new home at Hilton Head.)

I called Owner Services last week to order and the certs were waiting for me at the Barony Beach concierge when we checked in today. It won't be difficult to spend a few hours shopping. :D

Each resort-specific package/offer has its own usage and expiration terms that aren't on the website so if you look into any of these, make sure that the rep explains all the terms before you commit your DC Points. Good luck!

Sue- congrats on buying a new home in what clearly is a dream location for you!

Interesting post- and a great use for end of year left- overs. Those visiting Orlando over the holidays may be interested in the theme park ticket discounts at Grande Vista which I also noted on the site. Only the equivalent of 33 cents or so per point, but if you have - few hundred points at the end of the year it beats letting them lie fallow.

Hopefully they'll expand the options to include perks at more destinations.
