I haven't been to those locales in years. Do they allow cars on beaches in both those resort areas? If one prefers not to gaze at the sea with a car in the view...where's the best beach destination from Cocoa Beach on south through the Daytona/Ormond beaches areas? TIA for any tips!

Daytona or Ormond Beach:Cars on Beach?

Cars are allowed on Daytona Beach, but only when the tide is low. Last few times I was there I couldn't get on due to high tide. The beach is much narrower now than it was years ago, unless they have replenished it since I was there last.
There are more cars driving the beach at Daytona then in Ormond Beach. We were there in May with one condo at Daytona and the other in Ormond Beach. DD preferred Ormond Beach so that she wouldn't have to worry about little one getting run over.

Daytona Beach is NORTH of Cocoa Beach. About an hour (maybe a bit more).
Driving on some parts of the beach - not allowed on others - signs are posted. And at certain times of the year it'll cost you to drive on the beach. Slower times no charge.
