We have been trading into this resort for years and always found everything to be top notch until this time around. As examples:
1)There used to be Xmas lighting at the entrance which is now gone - only a few banners - compare to the elaborate disoplay at Grand Villas (formerly phase II) across the road
2)The club house winding staircase used to be wrapped in garland etc - now there only is a mas tree
3)The units are shopworn - fraying carpets with rolls, blinds that are warped, couches that should have been replaced some time ago and on and on.

I dont see how this resort still gets a silver crown rating if our unit is indicative of others. The one interesting thing is that Diamond is taking over the maintenance contract Jan. 1 - will see what happens!

we stayed last year and liked the place but had lots of problems. first ice maker didn't work, only took three calls. then dryer wouldn't dry, but it was my fault according to them and after insisting they brought in a new dryer. suddenly, I used the dryer correctly. then the burner on the stove would not turn off, very scary, just flamed red all the time, had it "fixed" once, but it kept happening. then the guest bathroom had water everywhere when we came home. you had to see the roll of toilet paper on a high shelf which was swollen to twice the size. the spots on the ceiling were not convincing to them that the leak came from upstairs. paying for internet per device, and also not getting any towel exchange at all were two other negatives. what really irked me was the no parking sign in front of the gate to the pool which always had an employee car parked in front of it. really hard to get the baby stroller over the curb. have they gone ahead with the plan to charge ten dollar a day surcharge?

The only issue I had a month ago was the crappy internet service (expected to change to a different provider when Diamond takes over as the management company). Otherwise a perfectly fine stay and everything was good in the unit.

This thread might explain some of what you are seeing.
