No kids, going in 2 weeks these are our options, which would you choose for the villas themselves and size of resort and handiness for getting to outlets, restaurants etc. A sneaky last minute trip so totally based on II getaways available

The benefit to the royal palms is access to Marriott world center with restaurants and the hotel amenities.
But It’s older and closer to the highway (we heard traffic at Sabel palms).

I'd take Cypress in a heartbeat unless you specifically are interested in the Marriott World Center shops/restaurants. Cypress is really close to I-drive and all the restaurants, etc. while Royal is down near Disney and it's like a 15-minute drive to anything down there. I also really like the room layouts there and overlooking the lakes.

It's going to be hot and rainy (maybe at the same time LOL) in early September but shouldn't be crowded at all.

The villas at both are pretty comparable. The living room area at Royal Palms is probably larger as well at the kitchen. The second bedroom at Cypress Harbour is a little better as it has a pullout loveseat where Royal just has a small wide chair that also pulls out to a single. If it is just two people, I would base the decision on if you want access to World Center amenities and restaurants.

I would take Cypress Harbour. If the choice were Sabal Palms or Cypress Harbour I would take Sabal, but Royal is not as well located as Sabal.

CH is quiet, has a good spa and tennis courts. Pools are big enough especially when it isn't crowded. Balconies are screened in. If you are a walker, you can do so around the resort and never leave the grounds. It is very close to Disney Springs and you can take the back way (Palm Parkway) if I4 is backed up. Very close to the outlets, a big Publix, etc.

I love Cypress Harbour and will be there in October for a week. Looking forward to it.

Cypress Harbour is my favorite resort in Orlando. The grounds are beautiful, it’s quiet, and centrally located. Royal is ok if going to Disney only, but it’s a bit longer to World center (sabal palms is closest). Just not that big of a fan of the area where the palms are.
I just traded our thanksgiving week for Grande vista to CH as I prefer CH that much.

Cypress Harbor for me if just 2 of us.

Thanks all! We have chosen CH as we love the area it's in, normally stay in GV or HL so will give it a try and see! Thanks for all the replies!

IF you haven't bought the getaway yet and you have an AC, check there first. Pricing is better
