Does anyone know the current policy with retrade windows with Marriott to Marriott weeks in Interval? I currently have a reservation for an Oceana Palms week in July but live in Canada. I am unsure if the border with US will open to allow us to go. Once I enter the Flex-exchange period --must I retrade only within that period--in other words--if I wait until June to see if border is going to open and if it appears as if it is not, if I decide to retade the week --will I be limited to whatever is available 30 days out? Thanks for any imput

Call Interval and discuss

Once inside flexchange 59 day window, you will only be able to retrade forward 59 days from the CURRENT date. As long as you are trading Marriott to Marriott with an enrolled week you can do this unlimited number of times. Doing it outside of 59 days lets you retrade as far forward as your original deposit expiration. Once you get inside 14 days, there are additional 30 day restrictions, but it is easy enough to get out of that and into the 59 day window again.

I really couldn't count on the US/Canada border opening that soon with no return restrictions. It seems Canada and most Canadians are happy with the closure and I would expect it to continue given the slowness to vaccinate that Canada has been experiencing.

Is your week enrolled? If not and you didn’t purchase eplus it will cost you a new exchange fee to retrade.
In any case you can click retrade button next to your exchange and have a look around to see if you find something you that might work better for you.

Read dioxide45 answer, it has the details. So, you will be limited to 60 days (possibly 30 depending on exact dates). If you want to keep full view of potential trades out as far as your week can go, you want to cancel outside of the 60 day limit.

If you don't mind retrading every month or so and can swing within 60 day reservations, then, keep retrading at 60 day mark and accept the limit if you want to wait as long as possible before cancelling. I still have a week from last April I am retrading to 60 day limit. Minor hassle.

Pamplemousse--Thanks for the reply. Yes our weeks are enrolled--I am not concerned with the fee--I am wondering if I wait until June ( in the hope the Border rules may change by then and I will not need to retrade ) ---will I only be able to see trades for 30 days out or will I still be able to see retrade possibilities into 2022 as I can now. So looking to know what retrade rules are once you enter the FlexTrade periods.

Dioxide and Steve have the answers.

What it boils down to is can you travel on 60 days or less notice? As noted the dates roll forward every day and you can get to your expiry- you’ll just have to keep retrading.

If you don’t want to deal with flexchange retrade more than 60 days from your current check in to the furthest into the future Marriott you can find and then keep searching until you find you trip- retrading again 60 days plus before that new check in if you still have room on the expiry.

Does anyone know how cancellation works with an enrolled week?
I know with a non enrolled week one can cancel and get a replacement week good for one year from the cancellation date that would not be subject to flexchange (unless less than 60 days) so could be used to request and would have the relatively same trading power and require a new exchange fee.
Anyone ever done this with an enrolled week? Would it have Marriott priority? Would M- M exchanges still be free?
