I'm not sure which ones I have. I know I am profoundly deaf in my right ear and have been for 20 or so years. My employer paid for a set from Miracle Ear 4 years ago and they have been fantastic. I use the Bluetooth feature A LOT to listen to daily podcasts and a few other apps on my phone, but I also use my AirPod Pros which I like. Even though I live alone I really, really like the sound in my ear for the most part since I tend to move about my house & yard.
Last Thursday, I began to get a static sound in my L HA (my good ear). I ran up to the local office. Meh. I had an excellent experience with the audiologist in AZ. She was knowledgeable and dedicated. I know she won annual trips to resorts with the company for the good job she did. She would offer to come in early for appointments before her office opened so I didn't miss work.
My experience with this franchise (if that's what it is) is terrible. High turn over. Every time I go in, it's a different person though they did have the same front desk person there for a while. Worse, I frequently get the run around like I did last week. She said she could not see me. There was not a soul in the place (Often in AZ, all the chairs were filled). I don't think I've ever been in this office when there is another customer. She was filling in for someone who just quit, and said she was behind on her paperwork. After a lot of back & forth, she did agree to take a quick look since I have appointment tomorrow. She didn't understand my tips - the L is tiny. There was no problem in the office but when I got home, the static started again. The next day, when I went to put them in, I noticed the wires are backwards - meaning my L HA only hooks over my R ear and vice versus.
I don't know. Maybe I have worn them out. I distinctly remember the gal in AZ saying she had just helped a fellow whose HAs were 18 years ago. I guess I was hoping mine would last longer. I didn't think Costco offered the CROS but maybe they do? Trust me, I will check there if I have to replace these.
