While I was floating on my floaty in the ocean in front of the resort a lady signaled what looked like pac man with her arms. I couldnt tell if she was trying to get my attention or doing a dance move. Next was a lifegaurd blowing a whistle and pointing me while waving me in.

I came in and the lifegaurd pointed at the crocodlie that was swiming down the beach. Ive never seen a crocodile swiming in the ocean.

Now Im thinking that Im no longer floating 200 ft from the beach.

Puerto Vallarta. It wasn't the biggest crocodile I've ever seen but maybe 7 ft. Interesting day so far. Earthquake and a crocodile.

That’s worse than watching Jaws

I actually have been in PV when the flag has been red because of crocodiles. It was after a hurricane at the end of October. They were washed into the ocean and were heading for the Cuale river. Looked like logs except they weren’t going in the same direction as all the rest of the branches headed for shore. That was in front of of Villa del palmar PV.

In past trips we have seen the crocs in the rivers. Ive never seen one in the ocean until I did. On our walks we do see the warning sign. Its between the Grand Venetian and Sunset Club.

This is the croc that forced me out of the ocean. My cousin caught a pic. I think I could take him but Im glad to not need to find out. ;)

Here is a croc about the same size as the one in the ocean that is now in the little river next to the Villa del Palmar. I can tell one croc from the other.

Apparently, crocs have attacked in the ocean in the past. Here is an incident from 2021. I am not sure about the proximity of these resorts to the estuary.

Thats in the Marina area. I heard about some young woman at a smoke out near that area who was grabed by a croc . It was night time and her stoner friends managed to make the croc let go.

I always thought it was an urban legend story that kind of changed depending on who is telling it. Your link proves its true. 😬

I was riding a bus from PV Marina to Galleria near the cruise port. When the bus slowly passed a river, I saw a crocodile swimming in the water. It was yesterday (Jan 24).
