Lawsuit alleges the power lose that led to many deaths and damage property was not a case of equipment failure. It was a classic market manipulation set in motion before the freeze even started. There have been a some of cases outside Texas and there is at least one that led to judgement against a gas supplier. So far in Texas, the distribution companies ate the expensive bill and passed will pass it on to the consumers over the next several years.
