I have read the sticky suggestions regarding renting. My question now - for those who have used craigslist as opposed to the suggested sites - what seems to work for you ? For instance my home is in MI, but our economy is - well I think you should know. Obviously other parts of the country are not hurting as badly... I really don't care who I rent or sell a unit to - I guess someone who has the greenbacks and willing to part with them. Looking for suggestions on what part of the country (or international) to market 1) a Florida property, 2 - St Maarten properties ? Any suggestions appreciated. That seems to be the drawback of craigslist vs the other sites, only targeting folks in a particular city at a given time .....

I would try to rent a unit in the area closest to where the timeshare is located. I posted a Steamboat Springs unit in Denver and sold it the second time I posted it.

Good luck!

Sue

When selling a TS, the pool of buyers is so small that using a site where everyone will see the ad seem to make more sense. I'd use TUG, TS4Ms, redweek, Myrestortnetwork and Craig's list if I was selling my TS.

When renting a TS it can make sense to use Craig's list in the city closest to the TS.
