I discovered on my cruise last week that the timeshare we stayed in about 14 years ago, Plaza Las Glorias, is now the Cozumel Palace. I loved this resort and am sad that it's now an AI. It's CRAZY how much Coz has grown since I was last there. I know the cruise industry has been great for their economy, but it has totally changed the entire character of the island...which makes me sad.

Interesting thoughts... We went last year and fell in love with Cozumel. We stayed at El Cid and it was not AI, which is the way I'd want to do it anyway.

If you go north of town or to the east coast of the island you really get away from the cruise ship crowd. But... we love Cozumel!

We stayed at the Cozumel Palace, it was really incredible, love the resort, the people, the food!! My kids enjoyed it and we had a wonderful time!!
