My niece has a relative that would like to sell her a week at this resort. I've read the reviews and feel mixed about it. Her husband, young daughter and her would probably use this as their summer vacation. The maintenance fees are $700 a year. Any feedback on what a fair price this should be? If they should decide to trade, any comments on trade power? Thanks

Summer Cape Cod weeks have great trade power otherwise it is fair to low trade power unless your niece wants to vacation low season or if an II member travel within a 59 day window. If she wants to use it she could rent for $700.00 down the Cape off season.

The Cove is part of VRI mgmt that gives her preference to trade to other VRI resorts, discounted rental rates and reduced annual fees with RCI if she joins for 3 years.

Wrong annual fee.

The annual maintenance for a single week is not $700. It is under $500. Is this a fixed, summer week or a float time? If it is fixed it is a very valuable week at one of the nicer and one of the few purpose built timeshares on the Cape. It isn't oceanfront as noted but offers many on site amenities and easy access to the beaches, Hyannis and all the area attractions.

Using it as a summer week on the Cape or as a trade it has great value. Prime float time isn't as valuable for trade but can still be very nice for use. After October and through April, Holiday float time, it has virtually no trade value but, if you enjoy off season visits at a resort with plenty of indoor activities, can be a nice get away.
