Costa Linda Aruba Questions

I recently exchanged through RCI for a week in mid September at Costa Linda for my family. We have a 2 bedroom suite which RCI describes as having a king, two singles, and a full kitchen. Sleeps up to 6 with pullout sofa.

We are really excited about the trip, but after doing online searches saw a few posts from years ago about the risk of getting a 2 bedroom lockout, which is not at all what we would want or expect to get.

Can anyone tell me how I can verify that we will get a true 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen? Can we confirm with RCI, the resort?

Also, my wife and I stayed at the Radisson twice when we did not have kids and I have read that Costa Linda is more secluded. How easy is it to access the downtown area? Difficult, easy? Is there a close bus stop that we will have access to?

Any and all help/guidance is appreciated. My wife and I can't wait to go and really look forward to introducing our little ones to Aruba.

Thanks in advance for any and all insights.

I don't know how they assign the 2 bdrm units at Costa Linda. You may have to try both the resort and RCI for information about what was deposited for the exchange. There is a bus stop directly outside of the resort and the fare is US$1.25 one way or US$2.00 round trip. I believe exact change is required.

I think you will like Costa Linda and its location on the best beach on the island. It is much quieter than the Palm Beach area around the Radisson, but there is a new shopping area between Costa Linda and the Alhambra casino with some shops and eating spots.

Did they give you a unit number? If it said suite with full kitchen then it can't be a lockout. The lockout has a king and 2 twins with a partial kitchen and no pullout sofa. CLBR is on the best beach (recently voted in the top 10 in the world) in Aruba.
Bus stops are nearby and there are several restaurants very close to you as well.

Thanks, everyone.

Here is the information provided by RCI desribing, generally, the 2 and 3 bedroom suites that they have.

" 2- and 3-bedroom units have balconies with ocean views; full-size, fully-equipped kitchens, 2 satellite TVs; a Roman tub with separate shower; and a pull-out sleep sofa in the living room to provide extra accommodation."

I just want to make sure I don't get the old bait and switch. A full kitchen is very important to us with our kids.

Thanks again.

The website for Costa Linda is costalinda-aruba.com. They have just renovated all the units and have videos and floor plans, etc. on their site.

We stayed there a few years back with our 3 daughters and absolutely LOVED it! It is on the best beach! We rented a jeep for 4 days of our weeks stay since my husband likes to cruise around the island and check out different areas. We were in a dedicated 2 bedroom - it was nice. Enjoy
