Considering buying from a timeshare broker. Have a concern.

Hello All,
I am considering buying from Marc Thomas with Liberty Consultations. I read all the related threads concerning him. What I want to know is when buying a resale Timeshare from an individual or broker is it really necessary to provide an image of the front of your drivers license for the resort and closing companies use right up front? This makes me nervous and I am looking for insight into what should be expected. Thanks,

Yes. It is required. All my purchases from Redweek and EBay, I had to send a copy of my DL.

It’s no different than buying a home. In most cases it is also real estate.

Sounds like we are doing a similar deal with Marc as well. Are you getting an HGVC deed?

I took a while to decide, but we got it submitted this week. Marc has been great so far.
