Confused: Do I still get an Interval membership as part of being an enrolled owner?

I've got myself in a situation where I've got a week reservation that I can't use, coming up in 19 days. I can't cancel it, but I'm supposed to be able to deposit it in II. But when I log into II, I don't see an active membership. Don't I get II membership with my points dues?

It depends on your situation and if/how recently you enrolled your weeks(s) in Abound (or bought Abound Points, however in either case you should have a corporate Interval ownership to use in a reasonably short timeframe.

You may never have setup a web profile for your new II membership that was assigned when your weeks were enrolled in Destinations Club/Abound. You should be able to login to the owner site and go to your profile and capture the II member number from there and take that to the II website to create your web profile.

You need to deposit prior to 14 days from checkin or II won't accept the deposit.

I owned before my week was enrolled, so had a previous II account. Last year, I contacted II and created another account that is the one that is included in my enrollment, it was not difficult.

So I seem to have 2 expired accounts: one was my original (2004), the second was created when enrolling (2012). Both show as PRE-ABOUND. Marriott chat wasn't helpful, told me to call Interval.

If you pay club dues you are entitled to a corporate Interval account as part of your ownership. This type of account would never be expired as long as you continue to have a type of ownership that includes club dues. (Points or an enrolled week)

I help my aunt manage her ownership and when she logs into interval she has 3 separate Interval accounts (and she only owns a single enrolled Aruba week and some trust points).

So I have no idea why she has 3. 1 is an old personal account from before DC launch for the Aruba week; and a second one is the corporate account with the enrolled week and trust points. No clue where the 3rd one came from or why?!

No you do not get a free membership. I believe right now you can get a 2 yr membership for the price of 1 yr at $99. Once you renew your membership and since your week is only 19 days away....when you deposit it will be considered a Late Deposit and you will only get a 59 day window to exchange, however I would recommend purchasing E-Plus which allows you to change the date and location of exchange 3 times.

This is incorrect. If you own points or an enrolled week you do get a “free” Interval membership. The cost is included in the mandatory club dues. No reason to pay for your own separate Interval membership unless you own a week that is not enrolled that you wish to trade.

Is the week in question enrolled in Abound (formerly destination club), ie- is it possible to elect that week to points?
If so it goes in the II account that comes with your club membership dues that you pay with your points/enrolled week ownership.

If that week is not enrolled it needs to be in a personal II account that you pay for yourself.

In any case you probably need to call II to help you get things set up.
Don’t delay, all deposits must be at least 14 days before check in and it will be a flex deposit so be sure you understand the limitations.
