Confused about II exchange

I just registered on II. I wanted to see what was available for this next year. Not really planning on exchanging, just wanted to see what I could pull up. I used a WKORV premium 1 bedroom float and it said there was nothing available. After reading what others are pulling I realized I must be doing something wrong. I went back and read the article about II and how to exchange but I guess I am not looking this up right.

Any advise? I know there is a 72 hr. Starwood window for deposited units. How come I can't pull up one unit in Maui (I mean NOTHING) for the next 12 mos.? I am becoming frustrated because I know I am missing something here.

Thanks for any help.

Your not missing anything...the pulls you see posted online are typically from "request first" matches or prized trophies from weeks of constant checking II. Rarely does any Maui unit (especially Westin or Marriott) just sit available online for more than a couple of hours. The few times there are units for longer than a few hours is because there has been a large developer "bulk deposit" (which occurs at somewhat random times).

Thank you. In reading past threads it sounded like there was a laundry list of open units; but I admit I didn't look too closely at where the SVO units were.........I guess not many in Maui.

Thanks again for clarifying.
