Confrused about new system

I deposited 74000 Wyndham points to RCI early in January and another 74000 points 2 weeks ago. I have done this for years and have received excellent trades. Now when I enter the Wyndham portal to RCI I only see my second deposit and it pulls nothing of value even though we travel at off peak times. I don't know where my original deposit is. It seems this is a dilution of trading power with our Wyndham points or am I missing something.

There is a big change with exchanging Wyndham with RCI after January 11.

To use the deposit you made early in January, you will need to call 1-800-572-0931. The deposit should trade the way it used to (red studio).

Any deposit made on or after January 11, 2011 is under the new system, in which your 74k deposit will probably only pull the equivalent of the old 28k deposit (blue studio).

This understandably has many owners upset. No more cheap trades with 28k deposit.

A couple of good things with the change: you can search for an exchange without making a deposit. You will see immediately how many points are required for the exchange you want. The catch is you can't hold or reserve the exchange until you have deposited your points and it may take 24-48 hours for them to post. In the meantime, the exchange you wanted may have but taken by someone else.

The other thing is whereas the low-end trades are a thing of the past, Wyndham now can pull the harder weeks (like DVC and Manhattan Club). Just with a good deal more points than before.
