Is it possible to combine points if you happen to own two seperate HGVC units? Lets say, for example I have 5000 points in Vegas. And next year I buy a 3500 unit in Orlando. I want to book in Hawaii that requires 7000 points. Can I borrow 2000 points from Orlando and combine with the 5000 points at Vegas in order to book in Hawaii?

Certainly, points are points and your account will show both contracts with total annual points. 9 months out you can reserve using as many as you need. You can even borrow from next year to add more if needed. I've already spent my 2012 points, when I book my next trip in 2012 it will be with 2013 points, you can use points before the mf are paid! Is this a great system or what?

Yes, of course. You can combine and use your points any way you wish. You can book reservations up to one year in advance at your HGVC home, from 9 months everywhere else.

I move points around all the time. That is how we are going on a cruise in the next three weeks. This will be our fourth cruise paid for using HGVC points. I know that cruising is not the best use of points but they have already been paid for so we might as well use them. Our most economical use of points has historically been with RCI exchanges. 4800 HGVC points may be exchanged for a nice two bedroom unit during Red Week season using RCI.
