Combining II confirmation 1BR + getaway studio

This hasn't happened yet, but may in the next few days.

I have a confirmation for a 1 BR at Grande Vista. I may need the other half. There are getaways for studios. Not a problem. Her is the problem -- the confirmation has 1 code and the studios are listed with another code. Will it be possible to make a 2 BR out of these 2 pieces???

I have never done it, but have been told by an II rep that Marriott is happy to do it. We were discussing doing this with the desert spring location but I'll assume that marriott will do this for many of their locations.

PS you must call ahead at least 1 week to ask. If you ask, when you check in, you'll likely be told NO.

We stayed at Grand Vista a couple of years ago and they were able to put a 1 bedroom Getaway and an efficiency Getaway together. I called the resort a week before and the day before arrival and they were able to accomodate our request. We were able to do this two times at the Desert Springs Resort also.

I have successfully done this at Grande Vista twice and it was no problem.

Call ASAP and ask to speak to the Vacaation Delivery Manager about your request. I'm sure with some lead time they can accomodate you.

Friends of ours got a 2 br and an efficiency and did the same thing, but making it into a 3 bedroom at Grande Vista.

Edit: I think ours also had 2 codes (MGV and MGR or something like that) and it didn't matter at all.

It's a risk but I'd expect you to be successful, for 2 exchange fees of course.
