For those that have not traveled DownUnder (primarily Australia and New Zealand) you will not find Drip Coffee Pots in most Hotels and Timeshares. You will find Electric Water Kettles. Your choices for Coffee in your Room or Condo are French Press or Instant. When traveling with a group constantly making French Press is a real pain. I remember our first trip to Sydney (their were 4 of us) the first week we made French Press multiple times each morning. We had to go to Target because one in the Group had forgotten her swimsuit. One of the folks said she was going to buy an inexpensive Drip Coffee Pot and we would just abandon it when we left. The cheapest Drip Coffee Pot ($10 - $15 at the time in the USA) was over $60 AUS or about $48 USA at the time. We switched to Instant Coffee for the rest of our trip.

There are lots of good Coffee Shops in towns/cities. If you absolutely have to have your Goopy Coffee you can usually search and find Starbucks in the large cities. But why? The most common Coffee Drink Ordered is a Flat White. Expresso Coffee with steamed milk. You will have a choice of Milks. Full cream is whole milk in the USA.

Is Starbucks still making Via, the instant coffee that is actually pretty good?

We dislike Starbucks. So many good local Coffee Shops to choose from.

Can you use a simple pour over? We have the small one that fits over a coffee cup or small carafe. $10 on the jungle river.

I think so! And, agreed! A friend turned me onto these years ago. If you have to do instant, these are actually very good!
You can also buy powered Starbucks coffee in small cans at the grocery store in the US to take on your trip. These are available in Dark, Medium and Light roasts.

I regularly bought the boxes of the small Via pouches at Costco, but they haven't offered them recently nor do I see them at my grocery store. I buy the cans now and I think Starbucks may have swtich to that packaging. Coffee itself is the same, but the small pouches were good for travel.
