I agree with the comment that LGA has gone from one of the worst to one of the better ones after all the updating. I'm impressed especially with how terminal B turned out. The building process alone was impressive to watch over the years. Now, if I could only find a sit down restaurant at LGA that costs less than $100 for two people (only a slight exaggeration).

Two airports not in the article probably because they would be considered smaller are MDW and DAL. Two once cute and convenient airports which have become crowded and burdensome. The restaurant choices at MDW are the worst in the country, IMO. We will see what happens with the remodeling going on now. And DAL was built with restrooms that weren't designed to handle high capacity.

Vegas is a mixed bag. If you are flying on AA or Hawaiian you are in the nice new terminal area. If you are on SWA you are in an overcrowded, rundown maze of gates.

DTW and MSP so high on the list? Really? And, I guess I've been lucky with PHL as I end up at the new AA gates with the nicely designed Admirals Club.

The comment about happy travelers spending more money at a terminal made me laugh.

Random comment: Which airport has the funniest airport code that even locals complain about and have tried to change? Sioux City, Iowa. Yep, the code is SUX. No traveler needs those letters on their boarding pass.

Finally, I know it is North America, but could someone please duplicate the sophistication, comfortable, and natural environment of Singapore's airport.

Surprised that Denver is in the top ten. The airport Westin hotel is pretty nice. Tampa's Marriott hotel is one of the best we have ever been to. We especially love the Hyatt at SFO. Beautiful hotel.

Denver has two Priority Pass lounges, one that is very expensive and you would be lucky to get a simple sandwich and beverage for your PP restaurant credit. The other is far away from the train by the B gates. It's quite a walk, but it's worth it, if you want to hike a bit.

When Denver added more gates on the C concourse, which I believe is all Southwest, I was sure we would get another PP lounge there. One of our late night SW flights landed at the furthest gate from the train to baggage claim, and everything looked finished in that entire area, but no chairs yet at most of the new gates. It looked so empty

At least they help you with moving walkways.

Wow do they have the wrong criteria for ranking airports.

DFW on a "best of" list? It's the riskiest connection there is! I thought it was common knowledge to avoid O'Hare in the winter and Dallas basically all the time -- but particularly during the summer.

Vegas is a mixed bag. If you are flying on AA or Hawaiian you are in the nice new terminal area. If you are on SWA you are in an overcrowded, rundown maze of gates.

LAS would be near the top of my list -- along with OAK. Why? You're ALWAYS in the nice, new terminal area. I always park in Terminal 3, go through security in Terminal 3, and when my wife or I fly solo, we pick each other up at Terminal 3. If my actual plane is in Terminal 1, I'll just take the tram which connects the two. Just one of the dozens of reasons I won't do checked baggage. Not on vacation at least.

LAS is one of only three things I like about that city. (Concerts and restaurants. And the ability to get the out of that accursed hellhole easily thanks to LAS.)
