I don't own a timeshare but would like to stay at Oceanside resort every summer. What would be the best way to do that. Can I buy a week directly at the resort or points?

Club Wyndham Oceanside has decent maintence fee costs. I'd buy a Club Wyndham Oceanside points contract resale, which will get you Advance Reservation Priority at Oceanside (10-13 months), and standard reservation priority everywhere else in the Wyndham system. Oceanside points contracts pop up on ebay every once in a while. I'm not sure if that resort sells weeks contracts, I've never seen one pop up resale, it may be all points.

I don't think Wyndham sells weeks, but you should obviously buy resale. I'd recommend looking at the points needed - my look right now for August 2025 was 275,000 pts for a 2BR OceanView, so you can likely book at 10 months. So I'd look for the best points deal I could find.

Wyndham Oceanside requires a lot of points for the week. It is a total of 275K for 2 bedroom ocean view for the week. It's 324K for a 2 bedroom oceanfront. When you buy get a contract that will allow you to get a full week if you want. When we go we usually just stay Sun-Thurs because it's so many points. I would copy and paste the points chart if I could figure it out. Hopefully, someone will help me out.
