I stayed in one of the Presidential units at Moab in May. I didn't really want to stay in a Presidential unit due to the point cost, but I did because of the convenient location to Arches & Canyonlands NPs. It was a nice unit, but, IMO, not worth the extra points. (The 5 Su-Th nights in the Presidential unit cost me almost as many points as the 6 nights in WM West Yellowstone PLUS 7 nights at WM St. George combined, and those stays included Friday & Saturday nights.)
I knew when I booked it that the only Wyndham units were Presidential. I presumed that the WM units were all Presidential as well and that's why they weren't showing in Wyndham as an option to book as a Club Pass resort. I found out when I got to the resort that most, if not all, of the WM units are standard units, not Presidential. I asked the resort manager if he knew why, as a Wyndham owner, I was not able to book one of the WM units as a Club Pass resort. He said he didn't know why but took my phone number and promised to find out and let me know. He did not.
Anyone on TUG know why Wyndham owners are not able to book the WM Moab units through Club Pass? Is it because Wyndham wants Wyndham owners to fill up their expensive Presidential units instead of booking the WM units?
