I can't believe I forgot to do up this review on the trip. Wow. Well, here's the abridged version.
Great Location, Missing some stuff inside the units.
This is an amazing location - right in downtown New Orleans, 2 blocks from the French Quarter, 2 blocks from the Business district, 3 blocks from Caesars Casino. 4* service all around. 2BR units seem to be a lock-off.
Pros:
Top Notch service - bellhops help you unload your car and get stuff to and from the unit.
Has Sauna, Pool, Hot Tub, Atrium with water feature.
They offer a bunch variety of bonus stuff throughout the week.
Interior of units was quite large, plenty of room to pull out the sleeper sofa, even perhaps excessive open space with it pulled out.
Probably the highest end Wyndham I've been in so far - on par with HGVC furnishings.
It has such a unique feel too - it's a converted building and the decor is just awesome and interesting.
Cons:
No laundry in room even though there was more than enough space.
No stove or oven either.
Even though there was an elevator, there were also some required stairs once we got to the unit.
One elevator was down the entire time we where there, waiting on parts.
Conclusion:
Recommended. Maybe skip driving there. The things that dropped it down from a 9 were actually the lack of a stove/oven and lack of laundry in the units when there was just so much empty space. You could do gymnastics in there.
The unit was very relaxing to be in, could stretch out on a couch, sit at the table, use the second table in the lock-off for working.
The whole time I felt upscale and like it was a fancier place to stay than most Time Shares.
I think this is a great base to do New Orleans from and fully intend to come back. It is worth the point cost.
8.5/10
