I'm new here, just found this site from a friend. What a great resource of information! I'm on overload just trying to read thru all the posts and figure out things. We just exchanged into Club Sunterra (CYX) for New Years week in a 2 BR. Can you tell me anything about the resort, which rooms to request? We have a 10 yo dd who loves swimming. How far is it to the pool? It looks like there are several resorts combined and sharing different things. Anything you can tell me would be helpful. Thanks!

Since your resort code is CYX you will be in Cypress Pointe Grande Villas. Any courtyard room you request will be overlooking one of the two pools or the mini-golf course. Outside rooms overlook the parking lots (but that isnm't as bad as it sounds - they are mall and landscaped). The Turtle and Freeform pools will be very close to your unit while the signature Volcano pool is a short block away at Phase 1. You will see it when you check in at the Clubhouse.

Both resorts share all amenities such as the pools, the Clubhouse, the exercise room, the tennis and basketball courts, game room, etc. The only thing that is strictly one phase or the other are the buildings and the units. In case you bring a PC Phase 2 offers wired high speed Internet in the units while Phase 1 offers wireless in the units, Clubhouse and grounds.
