Last I heard it was in the $1800 range on the low end. I can't imagine it being any less than that.

Part of the problem that causes it to be expensive is that you are legally required to use a Bahamas attorney

I heard that too from closing companies, but I was unable to independently verify that claim, or find a quote from Bahamian legislation confirming it. A Bahamian attorney may be "strongly recommended", especially for valuable non-timeshare real estate purchases, but I suspect it's not really legally required.

I tried to read the actual statutes and got lost. This isn't from a closing company but just a website for an attorney that processes sales of real estate in general. My understanding is a deeded timeshare is treated the same as any other deeded real estate. Other vacation club properties in the Bahamas have been RTU and not deeded, so this applies to Harborside and really no other timeshare/vacation clubs that have operated in the Bahamas. https://bahamaslaw.com/bahamas-law/real-estate-transactions-in-the-bahamas/

"The purchase or sale of real estate in the Bahamas requires the assistance of a local attorney. Transactions typically take three to six months to complete, sometimes less depending on the circumstances."
