Closing Company Asking for POA?

We received a letter from Timeshare Closing Services informing us that the week we purchased from them has been complete. Attached to the letter was a form asking us to sign to give them limited power of attorney? It states that they understand that it would be costly for us to attend annual meetings at the resort etc and we should allow them to act on our behalf. I have never received anything like this before. We are not going to sign it.. but just wondering if anyone else has seen this? Thanks!

Others have reported getting the same thing - I certainly would not sign it!
