Interested in input regarding the pros & cons of using Circle J Club at Jeremy Ranch as a base for skiing in Park City over Christmas 2007? I have 2 bedroom (with loft) on hold for my family of 4. I see varying estimates on-line as to distance to Park City skiiing--anywhere from 3 miles to ten miles? Units don't sound fancy, but they are large, with heated garage for each unit which is nice with ski equipment. PLUS--it is available starting 12/22/2007. I could have booked a two-bedroom unit in Winter Park on the Shuttle line, but that was to start 12/29 which would mean my kids (who will be in high school by then) would have to miss 3 days of school. Also, we've never been to Park City (great SKIING!) and I hear it is in good proximity to several ski areas besides Park City, within about an hour? Wondering how convenient it is and any other input you might have. Is Circle J just too remote?? I need to confirm by Monday. Otherwise, I guess I could hold out and see if something closer to a good ski area comes up, but Christmas ski weeks and a two-bedroom unit are hard to come by, even trading a Hawaii Gold Crown week--I have tried to get Christmas ski weeks before and haven't had much luck, but I may not have been searching so far ahead--do you think something better will come up if I keep waiting? Thanks for your input!

It's doable if you have a car. If not, I don't know if there is public transportation between PC and Jeremy Ranch. Drive time is maybe 20 minutes or less between the two places.

Like the previous post says, its doable with a car. Count on 15-40 min drive time to the ski areas, depending on which one you go to. You'll be closest to The Canyons ski area.

You certainly won't run out of places to ski. In Park City, there are three great ski areas (Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort, The Canyons). Then, you can ski Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons, including Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, and Brighton.
