I received an MP3 player earlier this year - it is a Zune. It just occurred to me while in the shower this morning that I can now probably get all the "golden oldie" Christmas music I grew up with, (in the late '50s and '60s).
So I would like some help creating a playlist I can d/l from the Zune site.
I'm talking about tunes like Gene Autry's Rudolph, Bing Crosby's White Christmas, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Ron

I didn't know anyone downloaded .mp3s anymore. I haven't done that since the Napster days, when the P to P people were getting busted by the record companies.

There's plenty of music in the public domain, downloadable as mp3 files.

As for a playlist, I'd take my cue from a 1968 Columbia Records release,
"A Golden Treasury Of Christmas Music" [Double LP]:

TRACKS: A1. The Little Drummer Boy; A2. Angels We Have Heard on High; A3. Sleepers Awake (Bach); A4. Good King Wenceslaus; A5. Do You Hear What I Hear?; A6. Deck the Hall with Boughs of Holly; A7. Prayer from Hansel & Gretel; A8. The Holy City; A9. Joseph Dearest, Joseph Mine; B1. Love Is the Meaning of Christmas; B2. O Come, All Ye Faithful; B3. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer; B4. Gesu Bambino; B5. God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen; B6. Glory to God in the Highest; B7. All Through the Night; B8. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel; B9. In Dulci Jubilo; C1. White Christmas; C2. We Three Kings of Orient Are; C3. I'll Be Home for Christmas; C4. The Carol of the Bells; C5. Toyland; C6. The Wassail Song; C7. Ave Maria (Schubert); C8. Here We Come A-Caroling; C9. Santa Claus Is Coming to Town; D1. The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting); D2. Patapan; D3. For Unto Us a Child Is Born; D4. I Saw Three Ships; D5. O Tannenbaum; D6. The First Noel; D7. O Little Town of Bethlehem; D8. Away in a Manger; & D9. Hallelujah (From Handel's Messiah).

Do you know if these are the original versions?
Thanx ~ Ron

I googled it, and it's not available on cd, but you are right - it is a great place to start.
Thanx again ~ Ron

I guess I just lost interest when I drank the iCoolAid and bought an iPod, set up an iTunes account, and now have an iPhone for iThis and iThat.
