Check your ongoing searches in II

I generally don't put in many OGS, but we decided we wanted to go to Santa Fe this summer, so I put in a search for the 3 TS in Santa Fe in II, for check-in any day in June, though I wasn't too optimistic. But as is my habit, I also check manually every day (generally at 5:30 or 6 am), and less than a week later there was a unit sitting online at Las Brisas de Santa Fe, for check-in on June 20th. I grabbed it, but wonder how many other misses there are? Anyway we're delighted and just happy I checked!

It happens fairly often but can also just be a timing issue. Over the years what I've noticed is that new deposits go straight into general inventory online. Then the system sweeps up that inventory to place in a holding bucket for the overnight match process. The same happens with exchanges that members cancel. They go straight back to general inventory. Thus, there is a short period of time that a you may see the week show up online and it can be confirmed. If you, or someone else, didn't confirm the exchange during this period of time then it likely would have matched overnight.
