Chase Boundless Bold Card, Elite bonus works for MF?

This card has an elite level bonus. For each $1, I get:

3 pts + 10 pts for being Bonvoy member + 7.5 pts for being Titanium, yielding 20.5 points/dollar. That's 20% at 1 cent per point that I get.

So, my question is, does paying MF work for that bonus on this particular card? I know it does on many other cards, but wondering if I can get 20.5 x MF on this card.

Here's the page that specifies this: https://creditcards.chase.com/marriott/cardmember/bold

Is there a fee for having this Chase Boundless Bold Card?

Just 6X for MF for Boundless card. $95 is for Boundless card. Bold card does not have MF. Based on the chart, Bold gets 3X for MF.

Bold card has no annual fee and only get 3X on Marriott spend. (Including maintenance fees)

Boundless card is $95 annual fee and get 6X on Marriott spend, and includes an annual free night certificate up to 35,000 points. Also earns 1 ENC for every 5K in total spend.

I have the boundless card. I always get more than $95 just out of the free night so the card is free in my mind.

So Marriott hotel spend gets
10X from Marriott
7.5X Titanium bonus
6X Boundless card

Total of 23.5 points per dollar on hotel spend.

Maintenance fees are just the 6X as you don’t earn the 10 from Marriott or the titanium bonus on that.

Yeah, didn't get it for MF, converting to Ritz card was the reason (since it has fee just had to hold for a year). Just noticed bonus so was curious, thanks! Won't be charging MF to it then. Actually, never noticed bonus of 10x, lol.

The 10pt and 7.5pt are for cash spend and stays at Bonvoy hotel properties. This wouldn't apply for simple maintenance fee payments. These cards like to also include the benefits that come along with just plain old Bonvoy membership.

Yeah, never noticed, I don't play with hotels too much. But for hotel stays, 20+ points depending on card per dollar sure seems high. $1,000 = 20,000 points or more = $200 or more. Am I missing something?

Yeah it’s an excellent return on hotel spend to be sure! You really can’t beat what amounts to ~20% back!

The issue is that in our 2 most recent stays at Desert Springs Villas 1, none of the spending at the Marketplace or golf shop counted towards any bonus points. Most of the shops are run by third party vendors and Marriott does not recognize those spendings.

If you are just paying cash and not using any of the credit cards at a Marriott property, you would earn the 10 base points. Silver member gets 11, Gold gets 12.5, Platinum gets 15 and Titanium gets 17.5 points per dollar spend. The extra 3 points per dollar in your scenario above comes with the Bold card. Thee Brilliant would get 23.5 total. It is really easier to just think of the card points separately. Bold gets 3 points per dollar and Brilliant gets 6 points per dollar on Marriott hotel spending.

That's it! So, just paying cash, I'd still get the 17.5 cents, so, only the other part is additional with the credit card. Makes more sense. Still, didn't realize I got so much for hotel stays.

What is the best Marriott card for MF? Are they all equal? I have the brilliant but I still get confused with regards to how exactly they calculate it

The Brilliant ($695), Ritz ($450), Bevy ($250), Bountiful ($250), Business ($125) and Boundless ($95) all earn 6X on Maintenance Fees. The Bold ($0) earns 3X.

And the old Chase Marriott Premier card ($85 w 25K annual free cert) earns 5x on Marriott spend and MFs.

The regular Amex Marriott Bonvoy card with $95 annual fee, which they no longer offer earns 6X on MF. Their Amex Marriott Bonvoy Bevy card with $250 annual fee, also earns 6X on MF.

Did you charge it to the room? We've always received the points we charge at Marketplace, the grills, golf at Grande Vista, etc. Or is it specific to DSV 1?

Yes, everything was charged to the room and appeared on the folio. Maybe specific to DSV 1. I think it has something to do with whether a 3rd party vendor owns the establishment.

Oh! I can partially answer my own question. I already paid for the destination points dues with my card and I see online on the chase portal, I got 6x points. This suggests to me it's likely when I pay my weeks HOA dues I will get 6x points as well. But I am interested in hearing from others please on this question, please? :)
